Dillon R. Turman, a proud member of the Cherokee Nation, grew up in the culturally rich Suhiye tsudawadisgv (Evening Shade) community near Tahlequah, Oklahoma, which instilled a deep connection to his Native heritage and commitment to Indigenous advocacy.

As of November 2024, Dillon serves as Tribal Relations Manager in the wind power sector, fostering partnerships with tribes to prioritize sovereignty, sustainability, and integrating tribal knowledge into renewable energy. His prior role as a litigation paralegal at the U.S. Department of the Interior involved supporting high-stakes cases that strengthened tribal sovereignty, earning commendation from the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Oklahoma.

Dillon's career began within the Cherokee Nation, enriching his understanding of tribal governance. With degrees in business and law, Dillon merges strategic, legal, and business acumen to advance tribal interests. Outside work, he enjoys outdoor activities, travel, and photography that celebrates people and landscapes.
